About Anneke

For designer Anneke Allers, jewellery design is a natural extension of a lifelong pursuit of beauty and a deep love for working with her hands.

Originally from South Africa, Anneke trained and worked as an interior architect for over 13 years. Her background in architecture and her South African heritage, combined with her early discovery of jewellery making at age 17, shapes her distinctive design approach—where structure meets artistry. For nearly eight years, she balanced her architectural career with informal jewellery studies, honing her skills in a local studio.

In 2016, after relocating to Canada, Anneke felt a strong pull to return to hands-on creative work. She completed the Fundamental Jewellery Certificate at George Brown College in Toronto and, in 2023, launched Allers Atelier.

Allers Atelier is a reflection of Anneke’s passion for expressive, unconventional design. Inspired by those who are wild at heart and drawn to the unusual, each piece is handcrafted in her home studio in Waterdown, Ontario. She believes jewellery holds a unique power— not only to adorn, but to transform; to make beauty both visible and felt.
